Community support
Esteem Team CIC has a range of services available to the community. Please see a breakdown of what each service available is and how you can contact us.
CATCH
(open to all)
Our CATCH (Coffee and Tea, Chat and Help) group runs weekly during the term time on a Wednesday morning (see poster at the bottom of the page).
The social and peer support sessions are for any parents and carers of children who have (or may have) SEND* (including mental health difficulties) and there does not need to be a diagnosis.
A ‘visiting’ CATCH session can also be offered in schools, organisations and community groups.
We also offer an occasional ad hoc evening CATCH sessions which are advertised in our Newsletter and/or our Facebook page.
Esteem Team Newsletter
(open to all)
We send out termly Newsletters which include information about SEND services, local training, webinars, resources and other useful tips which can support neurodivergent children, young people and their families.
If you would like to be added to the mailing list, please email caraesteem@gmail.com
Facebook page
(open to all)
Our parent/carer Facebook Page is another place to look for SEND related information and reflections.

Community Information Sessions
(open to all)
As part of our goal to create a Neurodivergent Aware Exmouth, we are committed to providing Information Sessions so everyone in our community can better understand and support the needs of neurodivergent people.
These sessions are advertised through our mailing list and on our Facebook pages.
Bookable 1:1 Discovery sessions
(Open to those within our priority area **)
Parents/carers can book a session with an Esteem Team Community Worker to confidentially discuss their child/young person’s situation. A Discovery Session is a good place to start when you are new to a situation (including exploring if you child may have SEND*) or if you are unsure of your next steps or feel stuck in a particular circumstance.
We will support you to look at the possible next steps (i.e, make referrals, invite you to further Esteem Team sessions, etc). We will also email you notes from this meeting along with any relevant signposting and resources.

Bookable 1:1 Admin Support sessions
(Open to those within our priority area **)
These 1:1 sessions are available for parent carers to book in with a skilled Community Worker to support you with specific SEND related tasks such as DLA/PIP applications and EHCP related administration.

Invite only workshops
(Open to those within our priority area **)
We can offer small workshop groups for parent carers with a specific focus, led by an Esteem Team Community Worker. These groups will also allow time for peer support to enable families to feel less isolated.
Workshops may be a one-off session or a series of sessions which will investigate a topic in more depth. These sessions include current good practice, research, strategies and how it can be applied to your individual family’s needs.

Child/Young Person Advocacy
(Open to those within our priority area **)

To self-refer, please email caraesteem@gmail.com
Email Support
(Open to those within our priority area **)
We have dedicated email support for local parents and carers to contact us with SEND related questions and enquiries.
Our replies will never tell you what to do but may provide further information to empower you. Sometimes we may signpost you to other organisations who can also offer help and support.

We can also offer bespoke training to schools or other organisations who want to deepen their understanding and knowledge of neurodiversity.

Strategic Support
(Open to those within our priority area **)
