I love the work that Esteem Team is doing!
From family experience I have seen the challenges neuro-divergent young people can have accessing education, care and support services. To be involved with such passionate and positive people as Esteem Team is a privilege.
What draws me to be a Director for this project is the professionalism, the compassion, and the commitment of the team members. The feedback from families speaks for itself!
My background has been largely in the voluntary sector, most recently as Projects Director at Open Door in Exmouth where we saw the development of services designed to support the most vulnerable in our society and action to give a voice to people who found it hard to speak up for themselves. The organisation grew and became a registered charity whilst I was leading it.
The challenges currently facing the voluntary and charitable sectors are enormous but I hope that I can bring an objective experience from various management roles that will offer an overview to build on the success of Esteem Team as a Director.
