Hello, I'm Jo, and I'm thrilled to be in the Esteem Team!

I have gained lots of experience from past roles working in secondary schools and a local college, where I specialised in mentoring, one-on-one support, and leading small group programs. I have taught English at functional skills level and English Language and Literature at Key stages 3 and 4.

My work focuses on helping young people develop life skills to guide them along their own unique pathway. I'm deeply passionate about empowering young people to discover their place in the world, and I take great pride in celebrating their individuality. I believe all my interactions with a young person are an opportunity to enhance their language skills and self-confidence.

On a personal note, I have two wonderful daughters who keep me on my toes. My family and I recently returned from an exciting two-year experience abroad, where we enjoyed lots of adventures together. We love the outdoors and are excited to be back in the beautiful Devon countryside.
